Thanks for the input, John Michael. It's too bad Jordan was bashed for asking for donations - people expect even more for free these days since the App Store came along and offered so many free and $.99 apps. Now that I have a 3GS, I'm hoping a solution will come along soon.

Jordan(the creator of Tricker3G) tried to get donations for his program and people bashed him on modmyiphone.com forums so he took it off of Cydia. There have been some thoughts that he took it off so that he could get it to work with the 3G S but I have to think the first reason is what happened. If you get a chance, you should email him and ask for his program. Say you'll donate $5. Otherwise look around on the net for Tricker3g and install it via SSH. I know you may be new to this but look around for SSH instructions and guides. There are plenty out there. The more time you spend, the more comfortable you will get.

Thanks (i'm using iphone 3G with OS 3.0). Also, any word on when TrickerThreeG will be back available in Cydia???? Thanks,

I have the same problem, it's really frustrating because it used to work until I had to restore and re jailbreak my iPhone the other day. Since re installing everything including tricker3G slingplayer won't work over 3G I just get the message saying to check the connection. Works fine over wi fi any help would be great

I have seen this error with other programs in the past and I have yet to figure out what to do to fix it. What I would do is download Apt Backup so you can easily store/restore all of your Cydia programs with one button after you re-jailbreak your phone. Re-jailbreaking shouldn't take more than an hour and you should be able to use Tricker ThreeG. Or you could always just try using VoIPover3g and adding the SlingBox to the plist. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Jordan, I would first ask what the admin asks JD..."Can you connect to the slingbox on wifi first?" It very well could be a problem with your slingbox settings when you are outside of you local network. Try taking your laptop to a friends and connect with your phone or laptop on their wifi. I don't think that there is a problem with the program. Everyone I know that has used it has had it work with much success. Let me know.

I'll ask the obvious first - did you reboot your iPhone? I haven't installed Tricker ThreeG myself...still using VOIPover3G, so I can't vouch for what may be going on. Have you gotten it to work using just WiFi yet? Perhaps your SlingPlayer isn't configured properly.

I have isntalled Tricker ThreeG and I no longer get the "only works on Wifi" error, but after it goes thru the login, connecting.... it pops up a message saying "your phone or slingplayer may not be connected to the internet" I can however access my Slingbox via PDAnet on my laptop so it's clearly setup for internet useage.

Any idea's? Thanks.
